CAUTION

Anyone discovering a plastic bottle containing a liquid and aluminum foil should contact the police. When shaken, a chemical reaction between the aluminum foil and liquid causes the sealed bottle to explode. Instructions for preparing the device are available on the internet and the ingredients easily accessible to juveniles. The liquid is usually a household cleaning substance.

Birdsboro Municipal Authority Private Pool Sewer Forgiveness Program

The Birdsboro Municipal Authority will again be conducting the Sewer Forgiveness program for water/sewer customers, residing in Birdsboro Borough, who have registered their swimming pools with the Authority.

If you are already registered, click here for rules and restrictions for this program. To participate in this program, you must notify the office when your pool has been filled no later than June 30, 2013.

If you are NOT registered, click here for rules and registration form for this program. To participate in this program, you must be submit you registration form (with $25 fee) and notify the office when your pool has been filled no later than June 30, 2013.


Petition for Local Grocery Store

Would you like to have a grocery store located in the Borough of Birdsboro? If so download and sign the attached petition and return it to Robert Myers at the Birdsboro Police Station or to the Borough Hall.


Medication Disposal

The Birdsboro Police Dept. partnered with the District Attorney's office and 12 other Berks Co. police departments to provide citizens with a means to safely discard old or no longer needed medications. A disposal container is located in the lobby of the police department. Citizens may come in to dispose of medications between the hours of 8AM and 4PM, Monday through Friday, or can make an appointment for another time by calling 610-582-6037. Citizens should not remove the medication label but may cross out the patient's name with black magic marker.


Holiday Recycling Pickup

Recycling will be picked up on Thursday instead of Wednesday for the following 2013 Holidays:

- New Year's Day
- Memorial Day
- Labor Day
- Christmas Day
